I recommend that you get a versatile card to add to your wallet. Cards I recommend: the Chase Sapphire (Reserve or Preferred), Capital One Venture or Venture X, or the American Express Gold or Platinum card. All of these cards have transfer partners that can help you maximize your points.
I know, I know, I am always talking about transferring points. Here is a step-by-step guide on transferring points on Chase Sapphire. This is via the app, but the website is very similar. First, you need to go to the Ultimate Rewards tab. You will then select the more option. This will open up a window with all the transfer partners. You can choose from the list where you want your points sent. Once you send your points to a partner, they cannot be returned to Chase. This is a one-way transaction.
