Death Valley National Park from Las Vegas - Day Trip
Death Valley National Park from Las Vegas
On our recent trip to Las Vegas, our family made the 2-hour drive to Death Valley National Park. Our trip in December was amazing, with the temperature sitting right at 65 degrees. It was a perfect day of hiking and exploring. Our family travels extensively, and we had never seen anything like it. We love National Parks, and we thought this was definitely worth the drive from Las Vegas.
We only had a day, so we didn’t do the whole park. Here is what we did:
We started the day at Zabriskie Point. We were able to get out of the car after the 2-hour drive and stretch our legs and explore.
My family really enjoyed the hikes we did in Death Valley. They are science fiction lovers and they loved talking about the different movies filmed here.
Don’t miss the Devil’s golf course. The salt formations are amazing!
Definitely don’t miss stopping at Badwater Basin. This is the lowest point in the Western Hemisphere.
We were super tired at this point but we made the 13-mile drive out to Dante’s View and we agreed it was a must when in Death Valley. I have never seen anything like it.
Thanks to points and miles, we spent a few days in Las Vegas. Here is our itinerary.
