⭐ What Is Umai Hot Pot on Sun Princess?

Umai Hot Pot is one of Princess Cruises’ newest specialty dining experiences — a cook-it-yourself, interactive meal inspired by East Asian cuisine. Think of it as a mix between fondue and a DIY feast.

You’ll sit around a bubbling pot of broth, choose your proteins and veggies, and cook each bite to your liking. It’s social, flavorful, and surprisingly relaxing.

⭐ Is Umai Hot Pot Worth It?

Yes — especially if you have the Premier Package. Here’s why:

  • It’s included with Premier (no extra charge)

  • You get two broths, unlimited proteins, and sides

  • It’s interactive and fun — perfect for couples or groups

  • The ingredients are fresh and beautifully presented

  • It’s one of the most unique dining experiences onboard

If you enjoy customizable meals and bold flavors, this is a must-try.

⭐ Umai Hot Pot Menu Highlights

You’ll choose two broths — we picked:

  • Classic Broth

  • Kaffir Lime & Lemongrass (my favorite — mild but flavorful)

Then you’ll receive:

  • Thinly sliced meats (beef, pork, chicken)

  • Seafood (shrimp, scallops, fish)

  • Tofu, noodles, fried rice

  • Vegetables (bok choy, mushrooms, greens)

  • Dipping sauces (soy, sesame, chili, peanut, garlic)

We ordered everything — and yes, you should arrive hungry.

⭐ Drinks at Umai

I started with the Umai Pink Drink — white rum, lime, agave, and strawberries. It was light, refreshing, and perfect with the meal. I’d order it again in a heartbeat.
