🌊 Majestic Princess Review (2026): What I Loved, What I Didn’t

Majestic Princess docked at Princess Cays

Majestic Princess docked at Princess Cays

After sailing several Royal‑class ships — Sky, Royal, and Enchanted — I finally had the chance to sail Majestic Princess, and she surprised me in the best ways. From the indoor pool area to the smoke‑free casino to the unexpectedly fun sing‑alongs in O’Malley’s, this ship delivered a relaxing, easy, memory‑filled week.

Here’s my full Majestic Princess review — the highlights, the misses, and everything you should know before booking.

What I Loved About Majestic Princess

1. The Huge Indoor Pool Area (With Free Mini Cabanas!)

Free mini Cabanas Majestic Princess

This was one of my favorite spaces on the entire ship. Majestic Princess has a massive indoor pool area with:

  • Tons of loungers

  • Cozy mini cabanas (free!)

  • A bright, airy atmosphere

  • Perfect weather‑proof relaxation

If you love quiet spaces, this is a dream on sea days.

2. A Completely Smoke‑Free Casino

Smoke Free Casino on Majestic Princess

Princess, please keep doing this. The smoke‑free casino on Majestic Princess was a game‑changer.

No haze. No smell. No avoiding certain areas of the ship.

Just clean air and a genuinely enjoyable casino experience.

3. O’Malley’s: Kind Ears + Sing‑Alongs

Kind Ears at O'Malleys

Kind Ears at O’Malley’s

O’Malley’s quickly became our nightly ritual.

The Kind Ears band was fantastic — warm, talented, and so good at getting the crowd involved. The sing‑alongs were some of the most fun evenings we had onboard.

If you love live music, this is the spot.

4. Ramen on the Buffet

Ramen on Majestic Princess

Ramen on the Buffet - I ate this at least 5x’s during this cruise

A small detail, but a big win. Majestic Princess had ramen on the buffet, and it was such a cozy, comforting option after long port days.

5. The Thermal Spa

Thermal Spa Majestic Princess - Enclave

My parents in the thermal spa

I loved the thermal suite — peaceful, warm, and the perfect escape on sea days.

If you enjoy heated loungers, steam rooms, and quiet spaces, this is absolutely worth it.

The thermal spa on Majestic is identical to the one on Sky Princess — here’s my full Sky Princess Enclave Review

🤷 What I Didn’t Love

Main Dining Room Food: Hit or Miss

Majestic Princess Staff

Kitchen Staff and our table - Majestic Princess

The MDR food wasn’t my favorite on this sailing. Some dishes were great, others were just okay. I didn’t love the menu this sailing, which is more a personal thing.

BUT — the service was exceptional.

The restaurant manager, Nathan, and his team were incredible. Every time something wasn’t quite right, they fixed it with kindness and professionalism.

Princess service continues to shine.

OceanNow Delivery Isn’t What It Used to Be

Princess has changed the OceanNow program, and unfortunately, it’s a downgrade. Specialty coffees are no longer delivered to your room, which was the main reason I used to love the service. I paid $14.99 for OceanNow Delivery on Majestic Princess and didn’t feel it was worth it. The convenience is limited now, and the benefits don’t match the price.

🚢 About the Ship: Royal‑Class Favorite

Majestic Princess is a Royal‑class ship, and since I’ve sailed:

…I knew I’d feel right at home. If you love the Royal‑class layout — the Piazza, the indoor pool, the entertainment flow — you’ll love Majestic too.

🗺️ Our Caribbean Itinerary

This itinerary was fantastic — one of my favorites.

St. Thomas

Beautiful beaches, easy exploring.

San Juan

Walkable, historic, colorful — always a favorite.

Princess Cays

Relaxing, simple, and perfect for a beach day.

Three Sea Days

Honestly? Heaven. We used them to unwind, enjoy the indoor pool, and soak up the thermal spa.

🎒 What I Packed for This Cruise

These were my MVPs:

  • Athleta layers

  • Reef sandals

  • Away crossbody

  • Mini Espresso Maker

  • Scout Bags

🧭 Final Thoughts: Would I Sail Majestic Princess Again?

Absolutely.

Between the indoor pool, the smoke‑free casino, the thermal spa, and the fun evenings in O’Malley’s, Majestic Princess delivered a relaxing, easy, family‑friendly cruise. The MDR food wasn’t perfect, but the service more than made up for it.

If you love Royal‑class ships, you’ll feel right at home here.

If you’re researching Majestic Princess or comparing Royal‑class ships, checking prices in two places — CruiseDirect and Princess Cruises — is the easiest way to find the best deal.
