🌴 Enchanted Princess Cruise Review: Our 7‑Day Caribbean Adventure

I recently booked a 7‑day Caribbean itinerary on the Enchanted Princess, and it ended up being one of my favorite mother‑son trips ever. My boys are getting older, and I’m in that bittersweet stage where they don’t need me quite as much — but they will travel for fun. A week at sea is the perfect way to reconnect, explore new places, and make memories before they’re fully grown.

This review covers:

  • How we saved big using points, miles, and a casino offer

  • Our cabin upgrade experience

  • What we loved about sailing Enchanted Princess

  • Links to our Alaska and Norway Princess trips

  • Packing lists, hotel reviews, and more

💸 How We Saved Big on This Trip

I used a mix of points, miles, and a casino status match to make this cruise incredibly affordable.

🎰 1. Casino Status Match = Free Interior Cabin

In 2023, I opened the Wyndham Business Earner credit card, which (at the time) granted Caesars Diamond status. (Update: This card no longer grants Caesars Diamond.)

I matched my Caesars status to Princess Cruises’ casino program, and Princess offered me:

  • A free interior cabin

  • Just taxes + fees to pay

  • A $200 per person refundable deposit that came back as onboard credit

This alone made the cruise a no‑brainer.

✈️ 2. Flights Using Points

We flew from Nashville to Fort Lauderdale using Southwest Rapid Rewards.

  • I transferred points from my Chase Sapphire Preferred to Southwest

  • Total out‑of‑pocket: $22.40 for taxes and fees

Chase Ultimate Rewards are incredibly flexible, and Southwest is one of my favorite partners for family travel.

🏨 3. Pre‑Cruise Hotel Using a Free Night Certificate

We stayed at Hyatt Place Dania Beach using the annual free night certificate from my Chase Hyatt card.

  • Annual fee: $95

  • Free night value: usually far more than $95

  • Room setup: 2 queens + pull‑out sofa (perfect for teens)

🚢 Our Enchanted Princess Cruise Experience

My youngest agreed to spend 7 days with me at sea, and I started to worry about the interior cabin. When upgrade bids opened, I took a chance — and we scored an unobstructed balcony for just $230 total.

It was absolutely worth it. Even with a partial obstruction, we loved having fresh air and a private place to relax.

We had such a great time that when I asked if he’d sail with me again, he immediately said yes. And because I spent a little time in the casino (hello, blackjack), Princess has already started sending me more casino offers.

🌊 Update: We Loved Princess So Much We Sailed Alaska Too

Since writing this post, we’ve taken another Princess cruise — this time to Alaska, and it was incredible.

Final Thoughts

The Enchanted Princess is a beautiful ship, and combining a casino offer with points and miles made this trip incredibly affordable. More importantly, it gave me a full week of uninterrupted time with my teen — something I’ll never take for granted.
