Planning a Princess cruise in 2026 and wondering whether the Princess Plus Package is still worth the money? With the latest round of changes that went into effect on January 12, 2026, the answer is… yes, for most cruisers. Although it is not the best for everyone. I am heading out on my next Princess Cruise in a few months, and I am trying to decide whether it is worth it. I will be traveling with a friend. We bought it last year on the Sky Princess when we traveled together and thought it was a fantastic deal. With the price increase and changes, I want to make sure this is still a good deal for us.

What Changed for Princess Plus in 2026?

Princess rolled out several updates for 2026 voyages. Here’s the quick version:

1. Price Increase

  • Princess Plus: $65/day

  • Sphere-class ships (Sun & Star Princess): $70/day

2. Casual Dining Meals Increased

  • Now includes 4 casual dining meals per voyage (up from 2)

  • These meals typically cost $14–$18 each — a real value boost

Don’t confuse these meals with speciality dining. I often encounter people who are confused by this. The casual dining on the Sun was Alfredo’s and O’Malley’s. These vary by ship. These are non-reservation establishments. We personally love Alfredo’s. Check out my reivew.

3. Perks Removed

Princess removed several low‑usage perks:

  • Premium desserts

  • Juice bar

  • Fitness classes

  • Medallion shipping

  • Princess Prizes

I never used any of these perks in the past. I personally think the changes improve the package.

4. Premier Package Changes

Not the focus of this post, but worth noting:

  • Premier is now $100/day

  • Includes shore excursion credits ($100–$300 depending on cruise length)

Final Verdict: Princess Plus Is Still Worth It in 2026

Even with the price increase, the Princess Plus Package remains a strong value — especially with the addition of extra casual dining meals. If you drink even a little, use Wi‑Fi, or enjoy convenience, Princess Plus is absolutely worth it in 2026. I am planning on getting the Plus Package for my upcoming Majestic Princess sailing.
