Sky Princess Review - Elevate Your Cruise Experience
Sky Princess Review
Thanks to casino cruise deals, I have been lucky to book several Princess cruises over the past couple of years. I had been on the Enchanted in May of 2024. I loved the ship. It was easy to persuade my friend Mary to join me on the Sky Princess in February 2025. This was Mary’s first Princess Cruise. I wanted her to experience a newer ship and see what I loved about Princess Cruises. The Sky Princess is a newer ship; it started sailing in 2019. It is a Royal Class ship, so very similar to the Enchanted Princess that I sailed in 2024.
When we boarded the ship, they were doing a deep clean, and we couldn’t get to our rooms until around 4. We found a great cushioned spot in the atrium to put us and our bags. When we boarded the ship, we used our onboard credit to upgrade to the Princess Plus Package. At the time of our cruise, it cost the same onboard/pre-cruise. They have since increased the price to $5 a day per person if you wait to book on the ship.
Sitting in our perfect spot, we used the medallion to order lunch and drinks for us! We did have a wait, but luckily, we didn’t have to do the buffet with all our stuff. We were able to enjoy the beautiful atrium of the Sky Princess and relax.
Us ordering food & drinks using the medallion
There was a nice selection of free items that we could order directly to us! We ordered salads, a chicken sandwich, and a hamburger. It was all good. We also ordered mojitos using our plus package.
Princess uses Medallion technology. You wear the medallion, and it unlocks your door as you walk up! It also lets the staff identify you by name. I like the personalized attention it provides. Princess provides you with a lanyard, or you can buy accessories on Amazon like these watch bands. (Reminder I am an Amazon influencer. I may earn a small commission if you use my link. These are the bands I use. If I am going to be in the pool or water a lot. When I went to Alaska, I never put my medallion in the watch band since I never got wet.
Our door welcomes us!
To save money, we booked an interior cabin. I am not a huge gambler, I get free interior cabins when I cruise. We can pay to upgrade the room. However, since this was a friend trip we decided instead of upgrading the room we would pay for the plus package. This was my 2nd interior cabin, and to be honest, I loved it. The room gets so dark thanks to no windows. We had to set alarms each morning to get up. At home, I regularly get up at 5 am getting to sleep in is a huge plus for me.

On the first full day of our cruise we arrived at Princess Cay. You can read more about that here. While we were eating our free lunch on Princess Cay we had two crew members ask if they could join us for lunch. We said of course! Little did we know that they would soon be our favorite people on the cruise. While eating lunch, with our new friends they realized Mary was a cruise agent. They asked if we wanted to come upstairs and talk about the Suite life. We of course said yes. That evening we joined them for complimentary drinks and snacks in the Suite Lounge. I had no idea this was a thing! Let me just tell you it was amazing. It was so amazing.

Mary and I met so many wonderful people on this amazing cruise. We did purchase the 7-day Thermal Spa pass, and it was amazing. You can read about that here. I loved the Sky Princess so much, I am sailing on her again in August to the Norweigan Fjords. I have also booked the Sun Princess from the Sphere Class ships for September.
