Sky Princess is one of Princess Cruises’ most popular Royal Class ships, and after sailing it in 2025, I’m sharing a full Sky Princess review covering cabins, dining, MedallionClass tech, Princess Plus value, and what surprised me most. If you’re deciding whether Sky Princess is worth it, this guide breaks down everything you need to know before booking.

Thanks to casino cruise deals, I have been lucky to book several Princess cruises over the past couple of years. I had been on the Enchanted in May of 2024. I loved the ship. It was easy to persuade my friend Mary to join me on the Sky Princess in February 2025. This was Mary’s first Princess Cruise. I wanted her to experience a newer ship and see what I loved about Princess Cruises. The Sky Princess is a newer ship; it started sailing in 2019. It is a Royal Class ship, so very similar to the Enchanted Princess that I sailed in 2024. When we boarded the ship, they were doing a deep clean, and we couldn’t get to our rooms until around 4.

🛳️ Sky Princess Overview (Royal Class Ship)

Sky Princess feels like a modern, elevated version of the classic Princess experience. The layout is intuitive, the décor is clean and bright, and the ship never felt overly crowded — even on sea days.

If you’ve sailed Enchanted Princess, the two ships feel similar, but Sky Princess has a slightly more relaxed vibe and a standout Suite Lounge that impressed me.

🎭 Entertainment & Activities on Sky Princess

Princess isn’t known for wild nightlife, but Sky Princess offers a solid mix of entertainment:

  • Production shows in the Princess Theater

  • Live music throughout the ship

  • Movies Under the Stars

  • Trivia, game shows, and enrichment activities

  • A surprisingly lively casino

If you’re sailing with kids or teens, the activities are more limited compared to Royal Caribbean or Carnival, but for adults, the entertainment lineup is perfect for a relaxing cruise.

Interior Cabin Sky Princess

Princess’ MedallionClass tech is one of the smoothest digital experiences at sea. Your Medallion unlocks your cabin, orders food and drinks, helps you find your travel companions, and speeds up embarkation.

Princess uses Medallion technology. You wear the medallion, and it unlocks your door as you walk up! It also lets the staff identify you by name. I like the personalized attention it provides. Princess provides you with a lanyard, or you can buy accessories on Amazon.

Tip: Bring a Medallion accessory so you’re not constantly digging it out of your pocket. Here are my favorites from Amazon

🛏️ Sky Princess Interior Cabin Review

I stayed in an interior cabin and was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable and functional it was.

What I loved:

  • Plenty of storage

  • Comfortable bed

  • Quiet location

  • Great blackout conditions for sleeping

Sky Princess Thermal Spa Review

The Thermal Suite is one of the best on any Princess ship. Heated loungers, saunas, steam rooms, and a relaxing atmosphere make it worth the splurge if you enjoy spa days.
