What Is Princess Captain’s Circle?

Captain’s Circle is Princess Cruises’ loyalty program. Every time you sail, you earn credit toward higher tiers that unlock better perks. Unlike some cruise lines, Princess makes it simple: the more you cruise, the more you earn.

You earn status based on:

  • Number of cruises sailed, or

  • Number of cruise days (whichever gets you to the next tier faster)

Princess Cruises Captain’s Circle Tiers: Blue, Gold, Ruby, and Platinum

The four different tiers are Gold, Ruby, Platinum, and Elite.

Gold - after your 1st Princess Cruise

Ruby - From the 4th - 5th Cruise or 31 - 51 sea days

Platinum - From the 6th - 15th Cruise or 51 - 150 sea days

Elite - From the 15th cruise or over 150 days at sea

You can reach status faster by booking single-occupancy or full suites. These bookings earn double points.

Is Princess Captain’s Circle Worth It? (My Honest Review)

If you cruise Princess even semi‑regularly, yes — it’s absolutely worth it. The perks start small, but once you hit Platinum and especially Elite, the value adds up quickly.

For families, the free laundry alone is a game‑changer. Add in priority boarding, tendering, and the minibar setup, and the experience feels smoother and more elevated.
