Discover Princess Cruises Loyalty Benefits

As a frequent Princess Cruiser, I get a lot of questions about Princess Cruises Loyalty Benefits. The Princess Captain Circle benefits get better the more you cruise. The benefits are those you can enjoy before and after you board your Princess Cruise. The benefits are provided to the guest on board the ship and are non-transferable. The Captain’s Circle is a 4-tier program. The more you sail with Princess, the better your benefits get. Your tier level is based on the number of cruises or sea-days. Whichever you achieve first! Want to get started earning Princess status? You are automatically enrolled upon completion of your first Princess Cruise. Talk about easy!

Princess Cruise Loyalty Benefits

What Benefits I Use

So let’s get real which of these benefits do I use? As you can see, the benefits get way better the more you sail. I have Elite Status with Princess, and the benefits I love the most are the 50% off wi-fi. I always pay for wi-fi, especially when I travel with my 17-year-old son. He will travel with me anywhere as long as he can text with his girlfriend back home. On our last cruise, we purchased the standard fare (no package). We bought the wifi package under my name for multiple devices and shared it. Without our discount, it would have been $34.99 a day. Instead, we paid $17.50 a day for our wifi. This was a significant savings. However, if I buy the Plus or Premium package, this benefit doesn’t help me at all. Wi-Fi is included in those packages.

When I book my shore excursions in advance, I receive 10% back in onboard credit when I board the ship. That way, I can get the excursions I want before they sell out and still get my discount. I don’t always buy my shore excursions from the cruise line. I also use Viator and Shore Excursion Group. However, it is nice to have onboard credit for those I buy from Princess.

I also have enjoyed the priority water shuttle. Thanks to a fabulous night's sleep in an interior room, I slept through the starting time for tender tickets to Princess Cay. I was disappointed in myself for getting a late start until I remembered there was a lounge for elite members and priority tenders. It was easy, I checked in by showing my medallion, and within minutes I was boarding a shuttle.

I also really enjoy having the mini-bar set up in the room. Again, this is more important if I am traveling with my son. We don’t buy the plus package when traveling together. You can read why here.

I have ordered the canapes before, and they are hit or miss, if they are worth it to me. I thought for sure I would go to the Elite Lounge, but I have never gone. I also thought I would do the complimentary wine tasting, but again, I have never made it. I currently have three more Princess cruises booked in the next few months, so maybe I will try those out next time.
