What Is Casual Dining on Princess Cruises?
Casual dining on Princess Cruises refers to the relaxed, sit‑down or quick‑service restaurants that are included with the Princess Plus and Princess Premier packages. These venues offer upgraded meals beyond the buffet and main dining room, without the formality or extra cost of specialty dining. With the 2026 package updates, guests receive a set number of casual dining meals that can be used at places like Alfredo’s, O’Malley’s, Ocean Terrace, and other quick‑service spots depending on the ship. It’s an easy, flexible way to enjoy better food, handcrafted dishes, and unique menus — all without needing reservations or paying additional fees.
Alfredo’s on Sun Princess: What’s Included
The Princess Cruises casual dining package includes one appetizer, one pizza/calzone, and dessert. At the beginning of our cruise, we could choose from the Classic Pizzas and Calzones, and by the last day, we could select from the specialty pizzas. We ended up eating here 3x’s on our recent sailing.

Alfredo’s Appetizers & Desserts
All three times I ate here on the Sun Princess, I started my meal with the Insalata Mista. A light salad to start my meal makes me happy. I thought theirs was good. Their balsamic dressing was good. On the Royal Princess, it was too tart for me, but this one was better.
Alfredo’s was just one highlight — the Sun Princess has so much more to offer. Check out my full Sun Princess review for dining, cabins, entertainment, and insider tips.
Best Pizzas at Alfredo’s
I tried two different pizzas on our cruise. The first two times, I had Pizza Margherita. I like a good fresh cheese pizza sometimes. This one had yummy cheese on it.
On my last visit to Alfredo’s, our waiter suggested I try something different. He mentioned they had just changed it so that we could use the dining credit on the Specialty pizzas and the create your own pizza. I had been eyeing the Cal Italia. Prosciutto, fig preserves, asiago, gorgonzola, mozzarella, and parmesan with balsamic glaze. It was delicious.
Alfredo’s Dessert
I only had room for dessert on one of our meals. I did take a bite or two of the cannoli. It was very good. I would have gotten it again if I had room but never did.

Alfredo’s Specialty Cocktails
I tried three of the specialty cocktails at Alfredo’s. The first one was the Cello Drop. This was the perfect drink to start my cruise off in Italy. Limoncello, Grey Goose Vodka, and Lemon. I love the dried fruit garnish. I thought this was a light, refreshing drink. Highly recommend!
2nd I tried the Roma. I am not a big Gin drinker, but I thought this was good. Hedricks, St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur, Limoncello and fresh raspberries. I preferred the Lemon Cello but this was fun to try especially with Premier Package.
Last but not least, I tried the Signature Tiramisu. This drink is sweet so I had it for dessert. It was really good. If you have the Premier package I would definitely give it a try.
