3 Days in Toronto Itinerary Couples Weekend Guide
Julie and her husband in Toronto - July 2025
Toronto surprised us in the best way. When we planned a quick summer getaway, we wanted great food, fun neighborhoods, and plenty to do without feeling rushed — and Toronto delivered all of that and more. From exploring the Entertainment District to taking a full‑day tour to Niagara Falls, our three days were packed with good food, great views, and easy adventures. Here’s exactly how we spent our time — and how you can plan the perfect Toronto trip too.

How We Got to Toronto
We flew WestJet from Nashville after work — just a 90‑minute flight. Immigration was quick, and we were in a taxi to our hotel within minutes. The ride to the Entertainment District cost about $70 CAD. We stayed at the Hyatt Regency Toronto, which turned out to be perfect.

Where We Stayed: Hyatt Regency Toronto Review
We loved the location — walking distance to the CN Tower, St. Lawrence Market, and tons of restaurants. The rooms were clean, modern, and comfortable, with great city views. I booked our stay using points, which made it even sweeter. For a quick couples getaway, this hotel checks all the boxes for convenience, comfort, and value.

Where We Ate
Every morning started at French Made, a bakery around the corner from our hotel. Their blueberry scone and sweetened condensed milk latte became my daily ritual — no regrets.
Day 1: St. Lawrence Market + Beer History Tour
Oyster at St Lawrence Market
We spent the morning exploring St. Lawrence Market, an international food haven. We left with Ukrainian sausage that my husband enjoyed for breakfast the next day.
In the afternoon, we joined the Beer Makes History Better tour via Viator — a fantastic way to learn about Toronto’s history while sipping local brews. Our guide Jason kept us laughing for three hours, and we even spotted a Banksy mural behind Goose Island.

Day 2: Niagara Falls Day Trip
Us at Niagara Falls
This was a long but amazing day. We booked a Niagara Falls tour that included a winery visit, lunch, and time in Niagara‑on‑the‑Lake. I’m not usually a big‑bus‑tour fan, but this one was worth it.

Day 3: Royal Ontario Museum + Auschwitz Exhibit
For our final day, my husband chose the Royal Ontario Museum (no surprise after 21 years of marriage). We walked 40 minutes from the hotel — easy and scenic. The limited‑time Auschwitz Exhibit was deeply moving; the audio guide made it unforgettable.

Final Thoughts
Toronto was everything we hoped for — safe, walkable, and full of great food and culture. I’d solo‑travel there in a heartbeat. Next time, we’ll bring our boys.
