If there was one meal on our Zuiderdam sailing that stood out above everything else, it was Pinnacle Grill — Holland America’s signature steakhouse and easily the most memorable dining experience of our entire trip. I’ve eaten here before and knew it would be a hit, but watching Tanner experience it for the first time made it even better. This quickly became his favorite meal on the ship… and honestly, mine too.

🥓 The Clothesline Bacon: Tanner’s New Obsession

Clothesline Bacon Holland America

He loved it so much we ate here twice

The moment the clothesline bacon arrived, Tanner was done. He couldn’t stop talking about it — the presentation, the flavor, the fun of it. I had tried it on a previous cruise and knew instantly he’d love it, but seeing his face when it came to the table was priceless.

He loved it so much that I tried to get another reservation later in the cruise… but Pinnacle Grill was completely sold out. I kept checking the app, and when a reservation popped up, we grabbed it immediately — and it was so worth it. Hands down, the best food on Holland America.

🥩 Filet Mignon + Baked Potato (All the Toppings)

Filet Mignon on Pinnacle Grill

For the main course, Tanner went classic: a perfectly cooked filet mignon with a baked potato loaded with all the toppings. It was tender, flavorful, and exactly what you want from a specialty steakhouse at sea.

I ordered the same — because when Pinnacle Grill does steak, you don’t overthink it.

🍋 The Key Lime Pie: A Must‑Order

We finished with their key lime pie, which is bright, creamy, and the perfect balance of tart and sweet. It’s one of those desserts you keep eating even when you’re full because it’s that good. I ended up getting this both days we ate at Pinnacle Grill.

💡 Money‑Saving Tip: Book Lunch Instead of Dinner

To save a little money, we booked lunch instead of dinner, and honestly, it was perfect. Same incredible food, same elevated experience, just at a lower price point.

I wish we could’ve gotten in again — but at least we had one unforgettable meal and a memory Tanner still talks about.
