Guy’s Burger Joint is one of those Carnival foods people talk about constantly.

And this time?

I agree with the hype.

I’ve eaten at Guy’s Burger Joint on previous Carnival cruises, and I think it’s genuinely good.

I’ve had it for dinner.

I’ve also had a burger and fries as a mid-afternoon snack, because apparently only on a cruise can you eat an entire burger and fries at 3:00 in the afternoon and think:

Yep. Totally normal vacation behavior. 😂

No regrets.

I actually skipped Guy’s on my most recent Carnival Magic cruise, but that had absolutely nothing to do with the burgers.

I ate too much pasta. 😂

After multiple visits to the free Cucina del Capitano pasta bar, something had to give.

Apparently it was the burger.

But because I am apparently incapable of walking past useful cruise information without documenting it, I did grab a photo of the Guy’s Burger Joint menu on Carnival Magic.

So let's talk burgers.

What’s on the Guy’s Burger Joint Menu?

Guy’s Burger Joint Menu - Carnival Magic 2026 (the Ringer)

The current Guy's Burger Joint Menu from Carnival lists five main burgers: Plain Jane, Straight Up, Pig Patty, The Ringer and Chilius Maximus. Burgers are served with fries and Guy's signature seasoning.

If you've never eaten at Guy’s before, don't let all the names make this complicated.

It's a burger. You're on vacation. Pick the one that sounds good. 😂

Does Guy’s Burger Joint Actually Live Up to the Hype?

Guys Burgers on Carnival Conquest - yes this is worth every calorie

For me? Yes.

Easy answer.

There are some cruise foods that become famous because everybody talks about them, and then you finally try them and think:

That's it?

I don't put Guy's in that category.

I've eaten there on previous Carnival sailings and would absolutely eat there again.

It's casual. It's easy. And it’s exactly the kind of food that works on Carnival.

You can make it lunch.

You can make it dinner.

Or you can apparently decide that a burger and fries constitute a perfectly reasonable afternoon snack before going on to eat another meal later.

Cruise math. 😂

Why I Skipped Guy’s on Carnival Magic

I almost feel like I have to explain this because I just told you it's worth eating.

Too. Much. Pasta.

😂

On Carnival Magic, I discovered the free Cucina del Capitano lunch pasta bar and proceeded to eat there three times.

So this became one of those rare cruise situations where even I had to acknowledge that I could not eat everything.

If you want to see the meal that bumped Guy’s out of the rotation this time:

Honestly, this is why I like writing about what I actually eat instead of creating a giant list of everything available on a ship.

I don't eat at every restaurant.

I don't try every cocktail.

I barely eat breakfast.

And sometimes I like one free pasta bar enough to go back three times.

That's real life.

What About Gluten-Free at Guy’s Burger Joint?

This is one detail from my recent Carnival Magic cruise that I thought was worth sharing.

One of my friends eats gluten-free.

On our particular sailing, my friend was able to get a gluten-free option at Guy’s. The crew also prepared the fries for the order in a different kitchen to help avoid cross-contamination.

I was impressed by the extra care they took.

That said, dietary procedures and available options can change, so please talk directly with Carnival and the onboard crew about your own dietary or allergy needs rather than assuming another sailing will handle an order exactly the same way.

But I wanted to share what happened for my friend because I know those real-world experiences can be helpful when you're trying to figure out what eating on a cruise might look like with dietary restrictions.

Is Guy’s Burger Joint Worth Trying on Carnival?

Yes.

Especially because this isn't something where I'm telling you:

“Everyone else says it's amazing, so you should try it.”

I've actually eaten there.

More than once.

I've eaten Guy's as a proper meal and as the aforementioned completely normal cruise-vacation mid-afternoon snack. 😂

I think it lives up to the hype.

Would I plan my entire cruise around getting a burger?

No.

Would I eat one again?

Absolutely.

I just need to leave myself enough room next time.

Apparently, three trips to Cucina and Guy’s Burger Joint is where even I have to draw the line.

Final Thoughts

Guy’s Burger Joint is one Carnival favorite that I think deserves its reputation.

It's not fancy.

It's not trying to be.

It's a good burger and fries that somehow taste particularly appropriate when you're on a cruise ship with nowhere you need to be.

And really, that's part of what I like about Carnival.

Sometimes vacation doesn't need to be complicated.

Sometimes you want the spa.

Sometimes you want the casino.

Sometimes you want a plate of pasta.

And sometimes you apparently need a burger and fries at 3:00 in the afternoon, knowing perfectly well dinner is still happening later.

Lazy Girl Approved? Absolutely. 😂
