Thompson Hotel Nashville Review: Luxury Staycation
Why We Chose Thompson Hotel Nashville
Looking for a luxury hotel in Nashville that blends boutique charm with travel perks? We celebrated a milestone birthday at the Thompson Hotel Nashville, a chic property in The Gulch that’s part of Hyatt’s portfolio and bookable with points. Thanks to AMEX Fine Hotels & Resorts, we scored early check-in, late checkout, and a $100 dining credit—perfect for indulging at Marsh House. From surprise cava to skyline views, this stay was a masterclass in travel hacking meets Southern hospitality.

AMEX Platinum Benefits at Thompson Hotel
Thanks to an amazing deal with our American Express Platinum card we decided to celebrate my husband’s birthday with a staycation in Nashville. We arrived right at noon because I saw our room was ready on the app, and we could check in as early as noon with the AMEX offer. I was given this letter to explain all the benefits I would receive thanks to my American Express Platinum card.
The room we checked into was gorgeous. There are lots of amazing hotels in the Nashville area. I would definitely put this up there as one of my favorites. The staff was so nice at check-in. After we were given some prosecco, we headed to our room. Also, I enjoy this part of Nashville. I like Broadway; it can be a lot of fun, but we enjoyed visiting a different area this time. This was a much more chill vibe. You can find Amazing food in the hotel and around this area
Birthday Surprises and Personalized Service
I mentioned that it was my husband’s birthday celebration when we checked in the hotel. After we got settled in the room. We had a knock at the door and these arrived from the front desk to help us celebrate.

Dining at Marsh House: $100 Credit Well Spent
We used our $100 dining credit at the Marsh House restaurant. The restaurant was gorgeous and we both enjoyed our dinner. They had an excellent raw bar. We were also able to use the $25 beverage credit.
Even though we could have had a late check out of 4pm. We decided to eat breakfast at Marsh house and then head home. The breakfast was amazing I highly recommend the avacado toast and crispy bacon.
