Best Nashville Hotels With Points & Miles (2026 Guide)
Luxury Stays You Can Actually Afford With Points, Miles & Smart Travel Hacks By Julie Davis
Nashville is one of the most exciting (and expensive) cities in the South — especially when it comes to hotels. But here’s the good news: with the right points, miles, and credit card strategies, you can stay at Nashville’s best luxury hotels for a fraction of the cash price.
We live just outside the city, and thanks to points and miles, we’ve stayed at three of the top five Nashville hotels named by Travel & Leisure. These are properties that normally run $300–$900+ per night — but we booked them using points, free night certificates, and Amex Fine Hotels & Resorts credits.

🧳 Our Nashville Hotel Reviews (Booked With Points & Miles)
1. Thompson Nashville – Amex FHR Birthday Stay
We stayed at the Thompson earlier this year for my husband’s birthday, and it was such a fun, luxurious night out in the city.
How We Booked It
We used the American Express Platinum Fine Hotels & Resorts credit.
Room rate: $303
Amex FHR credit: –$200
Final cost: $103
Perks included:
Free breakfast
$100 food & beverage credit
Early check‑in / late checkout
Room upgrade (when available)
We used our dining credit at Marsh House, the on‑site restaurant, and the hotel surprised us with chocolates and prosecco. We stopped buying birthday gifts years ago — this is a much better tradition.
Why We Loved It
Boutique vibe
Incredible service
Perfect location in The Gulch
Great food and drinks
Book the Thompson
2. Grand Hyatt Nashville – Points Staycation
Grand Hyatt Pool December 2023
We booked this stay in December 2023 during a tough time — our cat Madam passed away on Christmas Eve, and we needed to get out of the house. A staycation was the perfect reset.
How We Booked It
Hyatt points for the room
Hyatt points to upgrade to Club Lounge access
Nashville is one of the few places in the continental U.S. with a Hyatt Club Lounge. Globalists get access automatically, but I’m not a Globalist — so using points for the upgrade was a huge win.
What We Got for Free
Free room
Free dinner (heavy appetizers + drinks in the lounge)
Free breakfast
Why We Loved It
Festive holiday décor
Spacious rooms
Great for families or staycations
Book the Grand Hyatt
3. 1 Hotel Nashville – Bonnaroo Weekend Redemption
This stay was a last‑minute save. I was supposed to be on a cruise with my best friends, but my flight got canceled and I couldn’t make the trip. I was devastated — so we pivoted.
How We Booked It
We used our 2024 Amex Fine Hotels & Resorts credit.
Room rate: $386
Amex FHR credit: –$200
Additional perks:
Free breakfast
$100 dining credit
Extra bar charges removed as an amenity
June is normally expensive in Nashville, but because it was Bonnaroo weekend, there were surprisingly good options downtown.
Why We Loved It
Fresh fruit by the elevators
Eco‑luxury vibe
Beautiful design
Amazing service
Great location
