As a frequent cruiser, I love sailing out of Port Everglades. Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale is the 7th busiest cruise port in the world, serving millions of passengers annually. With eight cruise terminals spread across Northport, Midport, and Southport, it’s a hub for major lines like Princess, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Disney, and more. Don’t let the size intimidate you. Getting to the Port
Location: 1850 Eller Drive, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316
Entry Points: Northport, Midport, and Southport—each with signage directing you to the correct terminal.
Transportation Options:
Airport proximity: Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport is just 2 miles away. A quick taxi or Uber to the cruise port is a huge plus!
Shuttles & taxis: Many hotels offer shuttle service; taxis and rideshares are plentiful. There are taxi stands at the airport, or head to the designated rideshare pickup area upon arrival.
Parking: Garages like the Heron Garage (connected to Terminals 2 & 4) and Palm Garage (near Terminal 18) provide covered, air-conditioned access.

Have documents ready: Passport, boarding pass, and any health forms. Make sure to pull them out of your checked luggage
Porters - they have porters who will take your checked baggage. Don’t forget a few bucks to tip them for their service.
Expect security checks: Similar to airport screening—bags go through scanners, and you’ll pass through metal detectors.

I love sailing out of Port Everglades. Flights and hotels are usually less expensive than more expensive Miami.
