Hotel Review: Hilton Paris Opera: Luxury in Paris
Hilton Paris Opera
We wrapped up our Normandy trip with a two-night stay at the Hilton Paris Opera — our splurge hotel and a luxurious finale to a points-powered European vacation. This hotel was just one highlight of our 6-day Paris and Normandy—see what else we explored.

Location:
The hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of Paris, just steps from the Saint-Lazare train station. It’s ideal for travelers arriving from Normandy or heading to Versailles, and it’s walkable to major attractions like the Opéra Garnier and Galeries Lafayette. My crazy family even walked back from Notre Dame. You can not beat a beautiful spring day in Paris.

Rooms & Design:
Elegant, historic, and beautifully restored, the Hilton Paris Opera blends classic Parisian architecture with modern comfort. We booked two rooms to accommodate our family, and each was spacious, quiet, and well-appointed — a welcome upgrade from our more utilitarian Normandy hotels.

Diamond Status Perks:
Thanks to our Hilton Aspire credit card, my husband holds Hilton Diamond status, which unlocked access to the Executive Lounge. This perk made the splurge worthwhile: each evening featured a generous spread of appetizers, drinks, and desserts — enough to serve as dinner and save us money. The lounge also offered a relaxing space to unwind after sightseeing. Want to see if the Hilton Aspire Card is a good fit for you -> Hilton Aspire Card Benefits
Dining & Amenities:
While we didn’t dine at the hotel restaurant, the lobby bar and breakfast area were elegant and inviting. Staff were friendly and professional, and the overall ambiance felt upscale without being stuffy.
Value & Strategy:
We paid cash for this stay due to limited points availability and our need for two rooms, but the Diamond perks and location made it worth it. If you’re planning a Paris stop and hold Hilton status, this property delivers a polished experience with practical advantages.
Bottom Line:
Hilton Paris Opera is a strategic splurge for points travelers who want luxury, location, and lounge access. Whether you’re wrapping up a Normandy itinerary or starting a Paris adventure, it’s a memorable place to stay — especially with Diamond status in your corner. We all enjoyed our stay at this historic hotel.
