We recently sailed the Sun Princess through the Mediterranean. Our trip ended in Athens, Greece. I had never been to Athens. We decided to spend two nights before we headed back to the States. I am a huge fan of Hyatt. They have the best travel rewards. I was excited to see that there was a Grand Hyatt Athens. I booked it for two nights. We took a taxi from the port to the hotel. Our room was not ready yet. To be expected at 9 am. We dropped our travel bags off and headed out for our adventures.

After an amazing food tour in Athens, we headed back to the hotel to check into our room. The front desk informed us we had been upgraded to a suite with a private pool! Holy Smokes! I didn’t even know to dream this big. There are two suites like this at the hotel, and OMG! It was so nice. The room was huge with a nice sitting area and a huge King bed! This was fantastic after our cruise with 2 twins pushed together!

A huge bathroom with a walk-in shower and tub. The Shower head was the waterfall type and felt amazing!

Last but not least, a private pool! This was so amazing to get into after walking all over Athens that day. Seriously, I am still giddy thinking about it.

Grand Hyatt Athens - Private Pool

If you don’t end up with the suite with a private pool there are lots of water options at this hotel. Below is the ground level pool and you can see lots of balconies have tubs on them.

There are two pools on the roof. One for adults and there an infinity pool! Both with views of the Acropolis!

We enjoyed a fantastic meal at the rooftop restaurant. Amazing food and view. A fantastic way to end our amazing trip.

We enjoyed our stay at the Grand Hyatt Athens. We are big walkers and enjoyed the walk from the hotel to the Acropolis. I know not everyone enjoys walking as much as I do; you might prefer to get a taxi. In Athens, you can use the Uber app to get a taxi. We used this method to get a taxi to head to the airport on our last day!
