Intro: The Easiest Triple Dip I’ve Ever Done

If you’ve been around here for a minute, you know I’m obsessed with earning miles on everyday purchases — the Lazy Girl way. No spreadsheets, no complicated card setups, no “open five new cards this month.” Just simple stacking that helps me leave no point left behind.

And this week, I tested one of Rove Miles’ newest upgrades… and accidentally pulled off the easiest triple dip I’ve ever done.

If you’re new to Rove, it’s a newer miles‑earning portal that fits perfectly into my Stack & Save Strategy — especially if you want to earn points without opening a new credit card.

Here’s exactly what I did.

⭐ Step 1: Check Rove Before You Buy Anything

Screenshot of the points earned from my $100 gap purchase

I wanted new sweats from Gap. Nothing fancy — just a normal purchase.

Before checking out, I opened Rove Miles to see if Gap had an offer.

They did.

Gap was offering:

  • 6x miles on gift card purchases

  • 3x miles on regular purchases

This is where the Lazy Girl magic starts.

⭐ Step 2: Buy a Gift Card Through Rove (6x Miles)

I bought a $100 Gap gift card through Rove.

Instantly earned:

  • 600 Rove Miles

No extra steps. No hoops. Just a normal gift card purchase.

⭐ Step 3: Use the Gift Card Through Rove (3x Miles)

Then I went back through Rove, clicked the Gap offer again, and used the gift card to buy my new outfit.

Earned:

  • 3x miles on the purchase

  • Credit card points on the gift card purchase

  • Credit card points on the outfit purchase

Rove doesn’t require card linking, so your normal credit card rewards stack beautifully.

⭐ The Lazy Girl Triple Dip

Here’s the full stack:

  • 6x miles on the gift card

  • 3x miles on the purchase

  • Credit card points

  • Miles on things you were already buying

This is the kind of everyday earning that makes points feel easy — and it’s exactly why Rove is becoming part of my regular stack.

⭐ Why This Works So Well

Rove’s new upgrades make it easier to:

  • earn miles on gift cards

  • earn miles on regular purchases

  • stack with credit card rewards

  • earn on everyday shopping

  • build miles without opening new cards

⭐ Real‑Life Examples You Can Copy

Here are a few stores where this triple dip works:

  • Gap

  • Old Navy

  • Athleta

  • Banana Republic

  • Ulta

  • Sephora

  • Lowe’s

  • Home Depot

  • Petco

  • Uber Eats

  • DoorDash

If Rove offers gift card miles + shopping miles, you can repeat this exact strategy.
