MSC Cruise URComped, Southwest Rapid Rewards & Hyatt Points
Cruise from URComped, Flights with Southwest Rapid Rewards, and a Pre-Hotel Stay in South Beach Thanks to Hyatt Points
The Cruise: URComped Magic
When I spotted an MSC sailing in January, I knew it was the perfect chance to flex my casino comp strategy. A group of friends were going on it. I definitely wanted to join them, but I wanted to see how much I could save by booking this through all my strategies. I had never sailed with MSC before, so I sent URComped all my current casino offers. URComped came through with an incredible offer—essentially turning my casino play into a cruise vacation. If you haven’t explored URComped yet, it’s a hidden gem for travelers who love cruising but don’t want to pay full price.
Why URComped? They partner with cruise lines such as MSC, Carnival, and Royal Caribbean to offer complimentary or discounted sailings based on casino play.
My Hack: I leveraged past casino offers to snag this MSC sailing for $400 that we received back as onboard credit.

The Flights: Southwest Rapid Rewards
Southwest is my go-to for domestic flights, especially when I can use Rapid Rewards points. They fly direct from Nashville to Ft Lauderdale and Miami for this trip:
I booked round-trip flights to Miami entirely with points for my son, Tanner, and me. We had to pay $11.20 each round-trip for taxes and fees.

This is why I always recommend keeping a stash of Rapid Rewards points handy. They’re flexible, easy to earn, and perfect for cruise departures out of Florida. Don’t forget you can always transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards to Southwest to make these flights happen! Check out a list of Chase Transfer Partners -> Chase Ultimate Rewards Transfer Partners
The Hotel: Dreams in South Beach
Before boarding MSC, I wanted a little pre-cruise fun in Miami. South Beach was calling, and Hyatt points answered.
I booked a stay at a Dreams South Beach using World of Hyatt points.
Free night = no out-of-pocket cost, just pure vacation vibes.
Location was perfect for enjoying the beach, grabbing Cuban food, and easing into cruise mode.
Hyatt points are some of the most valuable in the hotel game, and this stay reminded me why. Again if you don’t have Hyatt Points, you can transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards to Hyatt.

Why This Strategy Works
By layering casino comps, airline points, and hotel rewards, I turned what could have been a pricey January getaway into a nearly free vacation.
Cruise: URComped offer
Flights: Southwest Rapid Rewards
Hotel: Hyatt points
This trifecta is exactly why I love travel hacking—it’s about stacking perks until the trip feels effortless.
