What’s the Chase Sapphire Reserve Edit Travel Credit?

The Chase Sapphire Reserve did a glow-up recently. I had been reading mixed reviews. Since I had been a cardholder for years, I wasn’t able to utilize my new benefits until October 26th. I am a huge fan of this card, thanks to the travel protections it has provided me over the last two years. It has been my go-to card for years. I love the flexible point system, and its travel transfer partners are the ones I use the most. I was excited to see what I could do with the new Edit Hotel Credit.

What is the Edit Hotel Credit?

The Edit is a curated collection of luxury hotels and resorts available through Chase’s travel portal. These properties are hand-picked for their elevated experiences, including design, service, and amenities.

Additional Perks When Booking Through The Edit

  • Daily breakfast for two

  • $100 property credit (can be used for spa, dining, etc.)

  • Room upgrades (subject to availability)

  • Early check-in and late check-out (where available). These benefits are similar to what you'd find in premium hotel programs like Amex Fine Hotels & Resorts. (Another perk I love to use)

Strategy: Booking Smart

Here’s how I made it work:

  1. Booked directly through the Chase Sapphire Travel Portal and made sure the hotel showed up as EDIT. You can see the word The Edit in the top corner of the screen.

  2. Used my Chase Sapphire Reserve to pay for the room.

  3. Made sure I booked the room for a minimum of two nights

Chase Sapphire Reserve Edit Nashville

I Chose The Virgin Hotel Nashville

After the holidays, my husband and I usually try to book a staycation downtown Nashville to unwind each year. I thought this would be the perfect time to use our Edit Travel Credit. There were a few hotels to choose from in downtown Nashville. I sorted by price to find somewhere we would like to stay that was a good deal after the $250 credit. I chose the Virgin Nashville. The price before the credit was a little over $600. After the $250 credit. We can stay downtown for $350 for two nights with free breakfast each day and a $100 dining credit. I also had a Chase Offer for $100 back on a $600+ purchase from the Chase Travel Portal I am hoping to stack with this offer. I paid for the booking upfront to get the credit and the next day, the $250 credit was added to my account. Super easy!
