Discover Skjolden Norway: A Charming Cruise Port
The Charming Skjolden Norway Cruise Port
We recently sailed the Norwegian Fjords on the Sky Princess. Our 2nd stop on the cruise was Skjolden. We decided to skip the excursion for this port and explore on our own.
Thanks to a storm , we had to skip the next port Olden. However, to keep us safe we spent the night here and sailed safely out the next morning.
I am used to busy cruise ports in the Caribbean. This port is nothing like that! The town was small. The only store we visited was the co-op grocery store. We visited to get my son some cough drops. The views here are amazing. We headed out early in the morning to walk about the water’s edge.
We were even blessed with this rainbow.
We enjoyed seeing the beauty all around us. Before we headed back to the ship, we bought fresh cinnamon rolls from the store right outside the ship. They were delicious!
If you are looking for something more adventurous, I would recommend the RIB boat tours. They looked so much fun. They were sold out by the time I realized what that was.
