After a week of fjords, waterfalls, and breathtaking scenery aboard the Sky Princess Norway cruise, we wrapped up our adventure with a few nights in London. Choosing the right hotel after a cruise can make or break the end of your trip—and for us, the Hyatt Regency London Blackfriars was the perfect fit.

Disembarking in Southampton, many cruisers head straight to London before flying home. I personally love being in London. Blackfriars offers:
Central location: Steps from Blackfriars Station and the Thames, with St. Paul’s Cathedral nearby.
Airport convenience: A 15-minute walk to Farringdon Station connects directly to the Elizabeth Line for Heathrow.
Quiet luxury: Despite being in the heart of the city, rooms are soundproofed and restful—ideal after a long cruise.

Hotel Highlights
Historic charm: The property is housed in a Grade II listed building, blending heritage with modern design. We love that we were a quick walk away from the Thames. It was a beautiful London day, and we explored on foot.
Dining: We used a club access award to enjoy their heavy appetizers and free wine for dinner. They don’t have a lounge, but using our club access award, we were able to get free Coke Zeros and water during our visit. This saved us significantly. London is not a cheap city.
Service: Staff were warm, attentive, and flexible with early check-in and luggage storage. They were able to get us a room available early in the day so my mom could rest. My dad, my son, and I took off exploring London together. They held our bags until our room was ready later in the afternoon.
Rooms: Spacious, modern, and equipped with rainfall showers, blackout curtains, and plenty of charging ports.
I cannot resist free wine - thanks to my Club Access award we had heavy appetizers and wine for dinner

Pair your stay with the Elizabeth Line for seamless airport transfers. I was traveling with my parents in their 70s I booked an Uber the morning we left to take us to the airport.
Perfect for: pre- or post-cruise stays, business trips, or points-powered weekends in London. This really is a great location. We walked down to the Big Ben, Parliament Square, and the Churchill War Museum. I do love to walk in a city!
