Hyatt Place Las Vegas Airport — A Convenient Stay for Points Travelers

When it comes to maximizing points and miles, airport hotels often get overlooked. But during our recent stay at the Hyatt Place Las Vegas Airport, I was reminded why these properties can be hidden gems for savvy travelers.

Our flight arrived in Vegas around 9 pm. We needed somewhere close to the airport, basically to rest our heads before we headed to Zion the next day. The Hyatt Place is convenient to the airport. We had stayed there back in 2024 for the same reason. My family loves Hyatt Place’s because they have 2 double beds and a pull-out couch. Perfect for my teens who refuse to share a bed!

Location & Convenience

  • Just minutes from Harry Reid International Airport, the hotel offers a free shuttle service that runs regularly. We had a rental car, and the parking fee was $20.

  • Perfect for late-night arrivals or early-morning departures — no need to stress about rideshares or traffic.

  • Bonus: It’s close enough to the Strip for a quick Uber if you want a taste of Vegas without committing to a full resort stay.

  • We also found out that it is close to a stand alone ER. My husbnd woke up wtih severe back pain in the middle of the night that we assume was a kidney stone. This efficient ER was less than a mile from the hotel. Thanks to travel insurance from my Chase Sapphire Reserve card this visit should be covered after our medical insurance pays. Rooms & Comfort

  • True to the Hyatt Place brand, the room layout included a cozy sectional sofa, desk space, and a comfortable bed. My family loves this layout when we have to all stay in the same room.

  • Plenty of outlets for charging devices — a must for families juggling phones, tablets, and laptops.

  • While not flashy, the room was clean, spacious, and practical, which is exactly what you want for a quick overnight.

Dining & Amenities

Hyatt Place Las Vegas German Beer
  • Complimentary breakfast is included: fresh fruit, eggs, pastries, and coffee to fuel up before heading out.

  • The 24/7 Gallery Market offered grab-and-go snacks, which came in handy after a late arrival.

  • Hofbrahaus Las Vegas is located across the parking lot. Our family enjoyed a meal there last year.

  • Small outdoor pool and fitness center available, though we didn’t have time to use them.

Points & Value

  • Booked with World of Hyatt points, this stay was a fantastic redemption compared to Strip hotels charging resort fees.

  • No resort fee here — a huge win for budget-conscious travelers. Since we used points to pay for our room, Hyatt would have waived the resort fees if they had them.

  • Great option for anyone looking to stretch their points while still enjoying Hyatt consistency.

Family-Friendly Notes

  • Spacious rooms made it easy to spread out with luggage.

  • Shuttle service simplified logistics, especially with kids in tow.

  • Quiet atmosphere compared to the chaos of the Strip — ideal for families who want rest before or after a flight.

Final Thoughts

The Hyatt Place Las Vegas Airport is a solid place to stay when visting Las Vegas— it’s about convenience, comfort, and value. For point travelers, families, or anyone needing a reliable overnight near the airport, this property delivers exactly what you need. The staff was nice and helpful. Especially, when I ran down at 2 am trying to figure out where to take my husband with severe pain in the middle of the night.
