Holland America Eurodam Cruise Review: Tips and Secrets

Holland America Eurodam Cruise

Looking for an honest Holland America Eurodam review? I recently sailed on my second Holland America cruise—a 4‑day itinerary originally scheduled for Half Moon Cay and Bimini, but ultimately rerouted to Nassau due to weather. Even though I didn’t get the ports I wanted, I still enjoyed the Eurodam. She delivered a relaxing and memorable experience. Here’s everything you need to know if you’re considering this ship.

Cruise Itinerary & Cabin Choice

  • Original plan: Half Moon Cay + Bimini

  • Final itinerary: Overnight in Nassau, return to Fort Lauderdale

  • Cabin selection: We booked an unobstructed ocean view stateroom—a budget‑friendly choice that still offered plenty of natural light.

👉 Tip: If you’re flexible, Holland America often offers upgrade bids. We skipped the cabin upgrade and instead invested in thermal spa passes—a decision we didn’t regret

Why We Love Holland America Eurodam

1. Breakfast Buffet Crepes & Omelets

Unlike many cruise lines, Holland America’s buffet offers made‑to‑order crepes. My go‑to was a fresh strawberry crepe each morning, while my parents raved about the omelets. Breakfast became a daily family tradition.

2. Dueling Piano Bar

The Eurodam’s dueling piano bar is a hidden gem. Expect sing‑along classics spanning multiple genres. Seats fill quickly, so arrive early if you want a spot. I spend a lot of time here it is always a lot of fun.

3. Thermal Spa Package

We pre‑booked the thermal spa package for $118 (4‑day cruise). My mom booked late and paid $188—proof that booking early saves money. The spa was crowded due to itinerary changes, but the heated loungers and hydrotherapy pool were worth every penny.

Nassau Port vs. Staying Onboard

While Nassau isn’t my favorite port, the Eurodam itself made staying onboard worthwhile. From spa days to piano nights, we enjoyed the ship more than the destination. I still had an amazing time hanging out with my friend and parents.

👉 Cruise hack: If you’re not excited about a port, treat the ship as your resort. You’ll enjoy quieter venues while most passengers explore ashore.
