We recently sailed the Sun Princess through the Mediterranean. Since they have so many specialty restaurants, we purchased the premier package. We were so happy with this decision. We ate amazingly the whole cruise. This is not typical boring cruise food, but amazing meals each night. Crown Grill was amazing. My husband said that he could definitely eat here more than once on a 7-day cruise, it was that good!

Menu

The menu was fantastic. I had the hardest time deciding what to order for each course. I would have eaten any or all of them. Look at all these great selections below:

Appetizer

I started my meal with the crab cake. This was full of lump crab meat. It contained very little filler, and it was delicious. I knew this was a big meal, and I planned to eat half. I failed. I devoured the whole thing!

Soup

I chose the seafood bisque for my soup. It was delicious. There was lots of seafood in this bisque.

Main

For my main, I ordered the filet mignon medium rare. My steak was exactly how I like it. One of the best steaks I have had in a long time. Seasoned perfectly! It came with a cognac peppercorn sauce. I love peppercorn sauce, but the steak was so good I didn’t use it. I then had a loaded baked potato with it. This baked potato was so good. I have tried to duplicate it at home, but no luck yet! I’ll keep trying!

Dessert

I absolutely had no room for dessert, yet we continued. We ordered two to share. The Key Lime Pie and the Chocolate Cake. Both were amazing. We did not finish them, but I was so glad we tried them. I really liked their Key Lime Pie. It was a great finale to a perfect meal!

This was an over-the-top great meal. I have already booked it again for our next sailing on the Sun Princess in August 2026. Have you eaten at Crown Grill? I would love to hear your experience in the comments.
