We recently sailed the Sun Princess through the Mediterranean. Since they have so many specialty restaurants, we purchased the premier package. We were so happy with this decision. We ate amazingly the whole cruise. This is not typical boring cruise food, but amazing meals each night. Crown Grill was amazing. My husband said that he could definitely eat here more than once on a 7-day cruise, it was that good!

Our Favorite Dishes at Crown Grill
The menu was fantastic. I had the hardest time deciding what to order for each course. I would have eaten any or all of them. Look at all these great selections below:
Appetizer
I started my meal with the crab cake. This was full of lump crab meat. It contained very little filler, and it was delicious. I knew this was a big meal, and I planned to eat half. I failed. I devoured the whole thing!
Seafood Bisque
For my starter, I chose the seafood bisque—and it did not disappoint. This creamy soup was loaded with tender bites of seafood, delivering bold flavor in every spoonful. The portion was generous, and the presentation matched the upscale steakhouse vibe. If you’re a fan of rich, seafood-forward appetizers, this bisque is a must-try at Crown Grill.
Filet Mignon with Peppercorn Sauce
For my main course, I went with the filet mignon—and it was everything you’d expect from a cruise steakhouse. Cooked to a perfect medium rare, the steak was melt-in-your-mouth tender with a rich peppercorn sauce that added just the right kick. Paired with classic sides like baked potato and mushrooms, this entrée felt indulgent and well-balanced. Crown Grill knows how to do steak right.
Dessert – Sweet Finish to a Steakhouse Feast
To end the meal, I chose the chocolate journey—a rich, layered dessert that felt like a cruise-worthy finale. Decadent without being too heavy, it paired beautifully with a cup of espresso. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or just treating yourself, Crown Grill’s dessert menu delivers a sweet send-off.
Final Thoughts Crown Grill Delivers Classic Cruise Steakhouse Luxury
Crown Grill lives up to its reputation as one of Princess Cruises’ most beloved specialty dining experiences. From the rich seafood bisque to the perfectly cooked filet mignon and indulgent desserts, every course felt thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. Whether you’re sailing on the Sun Princess or another ship in the fleet, this steakhouse is a standout for anyone craving a refined, flavorful meal at sea.
If you’re considering the Premier Package, Crown Grill is a prime reason to say yes—it’s a delicious way to elevate your cruise experience. We’d happily dine here again, especially for that surf & turf combo.
