Why We Chose Cloudland Resort Georgia for Our Hilton Stay
My husband and I recently returned to Cloudland Resort, a luxury Hilton property tucked into the scenic mountains of northwest Georgia. This was our second stay, and it all started when I was searching for a way to use our Hilton American Express Aspire Resort credit—Cloudland popped up early last year, and it immediately caught my eye. We booked a May 2024 getaway to celebrate my birthday, and it turned out to be the perfect mix of mountain views, upscale dining, and Hilton Diamond perks. We loved every minute.
When we visited last year, the resort had just been open for a few weeks, and it was quiet. This time was much different, but in a good way. Families were enjoying the pool, the patios, and the awesome views. You are literally in the clouds here. We would look out our window and see nothing but clouds, and the next moment, a gorgeous valley.

Using Hilton Aspire Resort Credit at Cloudland
We used a free night certificate from my Hilton American Express Aspire card for this stay. We also had a $200 resort credit from the same credit card that we could use at this resort. We had a wonderful meal at Auld Alliance with our credit. I had the smoked pork chop, and my husband had the filet mignon. We ordered a side of fries and mushrooms. With beer, sparkling water, and a tip, our bill was almost $200. The credit came in handy there. If you don’t want a fine dining experience, they also have the Croft Restaurant.
Room Upgrades & Diamond Perks
We are Hilton Diamond members, and our room was upgraded automatically to a mountain view. You can see our view here.
Our room was beautifully decorated. And it was dark, which I love. We both slept in the next morning. Maybe it was because our cats weren't there to wake us up at 5:00, or it was the relaxation of the room. But regardless, we had amazing sleep.
Manager’s Reception & Complimentary Drinks
After we dropped our car off at the valet, there is no self-parking. We headed to our room, dropped our stuff off then explored. We made sure to visit the manager's reception between 5:00 and 7:00 at the bar behind the front desk. They offer complimentary wine, beer, and mint juleps. We both had the cab.
Dining at Auld Alliance and Croft Restaurant
After enjoying drinks at the Manager’s Reception, we relaxed in our room until it was time for our dinner reservation at Cloudland Resort. I had booked it about a week and a half in advance—last year it wasn’t crowded, so I hadn’t expected limited availability. The only options were 5:00 or 8:30, and we opted for the later seating. We were seated at a gorgeous table with sweeping mountain views, and our server was incredibly attentive throughout the meal. I casually mentioned it was my birthday celebration, and to my surprise, we were treated to a complimentary chocolate dessert—an indulgent mousse topped with chocolate ice cream and layers of rich chocolate textures. It was decadent and definitely shareable… we couldn’t even finish it!
Final Thoughts: Is Cloudland Worth It?

Whether you're using your Hilton Aspire Resort credit, celebrating a special occasion, or just craving a peaceful Georgia mountain escape, this property delivers luxury without feeling stuffy. From the Diamond upgrade to the complimentary birthday dessert, every detail made our stay feel personal and memorable. We’re already dreaming about our next visit—and if you’re considering Cloudland, I’d say go for it.
